I've been a Demonoid user since forever, or at least since Mininova stopped hosting their own torrents, which certainly feels like forever. Anyway, that means I've seen them go dark for extended periods of time on several prior occasions and never found a place I could live with as a comfortable home in the event Demonoid never reopened until I found Kickass. Now that I have, I'd probably stay here at Kickass no matter what!
